Scientists at University of Texas carried out a study that suggests that changing the eating habits or altering the circadian clock could severely affect the heathy fat tissues throughout the lifespan of a person. The eating habits of lot of individuals are changing day by day and hence people are not as fit as they used to be earlier. A good quality diet in a rhythmic manner is important for maintaining balance of healthy fat cells or adipocytes which provides energy and keeps are body warm. The change in eating habit and the circadian clock could make people quite unhealthy if they continue to live with their unhealthy lifestyle. If tissues are not well then the whole structure of the body would get affected. Healthy adipose tissues have a specific function in the body as it contribute to supply the energy and helps in the protection of vital organs.

Giving up the circadian rhythm and eating a high-fat diet over time depletes the adipocytes and the study suggests that this disruption could be difficult to reverse. Depletion of healthy fat tissues could ultimately leads to fat storage defects and excess lipids spills over other organs such as the liver and muscles which could lead to type 2 diabetes and insulin resistance, according to Eckel-Mahan. To keep things in check, everyone needs to maintain a normal sleep-wake cycle and should not eat at the wrong times of the day such as not too late before sleeping or very early in the morning. For the rhythmic multiplication of preadipocytes, the 24 hour clock that we have is very important and it needs to protected as best as we could, according to lead author Aleix Ribas-Latre, PhD, of the Helmholtz Institute for Metabolism, and Obesity Vascular research (HI-MAG) of the Helmholtz Center Munich of the University of Leipzig and the University Hospital Leipzig in Germany.
