Global Thermoplastic Elastomers Market is Expected to Register a Healthy CAGR in the Forecast Period of 2019 to 2026

Global Thermoplastic Elastomers Market

Access Full Report at

Thermoplastic elastomers are polymers that are a combination of plastics and rubber. These primarily have the properties of both thermoplastic and elastomeric. These elastomers come from the rubber-family thereby attaining the flexible characteristics of the compound, wherein the inclusion of plastics improves the strength of the elastomer increasing the application areas of the same. These elastomers are recyclable in nature and the scrap collected during the manufacturing processing can be reutilized.

Recent Developments

  • In April 2019, Mitsuibishi Chemicals Corp. announced their plans to establish a thermoplastic elastomer manufacturing facility at the Silvassa, India that they recently acquired. The facility will design products specifically for the automotive market. This is a strategic step for the company as this facility will ensure that they do not have to outsource the manufacturing of thermoplastic elastomers for the Indian region and can provide the manufacturing capabilities in-house.
  • In April 2019, Aurora Plastics announced that they had acquired Elastocon TPE Technologies. With this acquisition greater production capabilities are set to be added to Aurora’s existing operational capabilities along with addition of all of the employees of Elastocon. This acquisition will also enable expansion of the existing product offerings available with Aurora Plastics as they look to establish their presence as a leader of polymer offerings.
