  • In October 2024, SONOTEC exhibited at the International Annual Summit of the German Society of Cardio Technology, held from November 8 to 10 in Münster, Germany. The ultrasound specialist showcased its range of medical sensors, including non-invasive flow-bubble sensors, air bubble detectors, and blood leak detectors. The SONOFLOW CO.56 Pro V2.0 flow-bubble sensor combines advanced measurement technology with a multi-level safety concept to ensure optimal patient safety at all times. This hybrid sensor measures flow rate and simultaneously detects air bubbles in liquid-filled medical tubing.
  • In July 2024, Flosonics Medical announced that Sutter Health, a not-for-profit integrated healthcare system based in Northern California, will adopt FloPatch, the world’s first wireless, wearable Doppler ultrasound. The FDA-cleared device provides ICU clinicians with a quick, hands-free way to assess blood flow at the bedside, assisting in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and fluid management for critically ill patients.

  • In June 2023, U.S.-based digital health company STAT Health launched a 24/7 in-ear wearable general wellness product that measures blood flow to the head, offering a better understanding of body conditions that occur when standing. As the world’s smallest wearable, the device aims to address symptoms such as dizziness, brain fog, headaches, fainting, and fatigue, which are commonly linked to conditions such as long Covid, postural orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, and myalgic encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome, where blood flow to the head is reduced upon standing. These conditions affect over 13 million Americans.
  • In July 2021, Medtronic announced the availability of the FlowMet peripheral blood flow monitoring system with a disposable sensor in the United States. The company stated that FlowMet was a noninvasive device that provided continuous blood flow measurements during procedures for treating peripheral artery disease, complementing angiography to offer additional procedural insights. The disposable sensor was attached to a patient’s toe and was designed to be simple and easy to use.
