- In August 2022, the FDA granted rare pediatric disease designation to iECURE’s gene-editing therapy, GTP-506, which is being investigated as a potential treatment for Ornithine Transcarbamylase (OTC) deficiency. This therapy, along with other programs from iECURE, is being developed in collaboration with the University of Pennsylvania’s Gene Therapy Program under the leadership of Dr. James M. Wilson.
