- DSM has announced the release of its new yoghurt culture, Delvo Fresh YS-042, in June 2021. The culture, which is part of DSM's Delvo Fresh culture portfolio, allows manufacturers to make stirred yoghurt that remains extra mild, creamy, and thick throughout its shelf life without the use of texturizers or additional proteins.
- Chr. Hansen Holding A/S launched the 'FreshQ' culture in April 2021 to unlock the benefits of bio protection for producers dealing with challenging cold chains, long fermentation times, and in-process holding times. The unique food cultures could be used to ferment a wide variety of fermented dairy products, including yoghurt and white cheese.
- IFF completed the previously announced merger of IFF and DuPont's Nutrition & Biosciences ("N&B") business in February 2021. The combined company would continue to be known as IFF. The combined company's common stock will trade under the symbol "IFF" on the New York Stock Exchange. The complementary portfolios position the company as a leader in the categories of taste, texture, scent, nutrition, enzymes, cultures, soy proteins, and probiotic ingredients.
- Chr. Hansen will launch YoFlex Premium & nu-trish Premium for high-texture yoghurt with fewer additives in November 2020. The product would increase margins by eliminating the need for costly skim milk powder. It would result in healthier, higher-quality yoghurt with optimal probiotics.
