  • In July 2025, Giant Bicycle Inc. recalled around 6,200 Momentum Vida E+ E-Bikes sold in North America due to a serious fall hazard. The issue involves the fork steerer tube, which may crack, break, or separate during use, potentially causing crashes. Affected models include both mid-step and low-step frames, available in various colors and sizes. Bikes with serial numbers where the third character is “H,” “J,” or “K” require fork replacement, while those with a “G” need inspection by an authorized dealer. No injuries have been reported, but riders are urged to stop using the bikes immediately

Affected models feature internal gear hubs (IGH) and were sold between March 2021 and November 2024. The issue involves a retaining pin in the disc brake calipers that may loosen and detach, potentially causing brake failure and posing a crash risk. Affected models include various color variants sold between April and September 2024. Super73 is offering a free repair kit and up to USD 50 reimbursement for professional installation. Riders are advised to stop using the bikes immediately and contact the company for repairs
  • In January 2024, Pacific Cycle recalled approximately 1,700 Ascend Cabrillo and Ascend Minaret electric bikes sold in North America due to a serious fire hazard. The issue stemmed from an improperly assembled wiring harness in the lithium-ion battery system, which could overheat and ignite during charging. Affected bikes were sold at Bass Pro Shops and Cabela’s between January and November 2023. Consumers are urged to stop using and unplug the bikes immediately and return them for a full refund.
